Lunch At Swadish By Ajay Kumar (Glasgow) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

Today I was meeting a friend for a long-needed catch-up and she wanted to go to Swadish for lunch.

This is my first time having lunch here as it’s normally after my work or for dinner so it was nice to see it during the day.

Since this was lunch I wanted to just go with whatever my gut felt like even if I had it before.

CURRIED MUSSELS £10
Shetland mussels, curry leaf and coconut broth, garlic naan

Firstly let’s start by appreciating how nice the presentation is, and the aroma from this was so good…instant mouth-watering!

Every time I had mussels it always reminds me of my grandpa which brings a smile to my face.

I got all the mussels deshelled and in the broth and started to eat.

The flavour of the broth and the mussels was so so good, and then I tried the garlic bread in the broth mmm

Everything about this dish just worked perfectly, flavours all worked with each other to give you a great bite every time.

GOAN MONKFISH £21
North-sea wild Scottish monkfish, black peppercorns, lime leaves, tamarind, coconut

I have had this before and wanted to have it again today.

On arrival, this looked very nice and I loved its presentation again, and the aroma was mmm so good!

The monkfish was lovely and tender and the sauce was packed with a lovely flavour together this was a very tasty dish.

I am glad I chose to have this again today, and I enjoyed every mouthful and would highly recommend this if you haven’t had this yet.

As always my visit to Swadish is always perfect for service, food and the atmosphere.
